Happy Birthday Michael!

Hi there, wanted to pop in with a card I made for my wonderful hubby's birthday, which was this week.  I wanted to make something masculine, although I am very lucky, as he loves my cards with ribbons and flowers, so I knew I can do whatever I really want.

I was so excited to see the new My Favorite Things April release and I really wanted some of the dies, so I just had to pick a few up!  Hence the birth of this card.  I used three brand new Die-namics on this card:

Die-namics Chevron Stripes
Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX
Die-namics Royal Leaves

I can only say that I am totally in LOVE with these new dies and I think my card shows that, too.  I also picked up the Die-namics Mini Doily Circles and I have big plans for those...they are beyond super sweet!  If you haven't seen these, you better check them out and I am saying this as a consumer now, not even as a DT member...LOL  I think that says a lot about MFT, doesn't it?  LOVE them!

Anyway, for my card I used the super fun Die-namics First Class Friend and Stamp set and I really love the way it turned out.  The dry embossing was done with my newfound love, using Spellbinder M-bossibilities, which you can pick up at Scrap-mart.  I used Trendy, Valor and Regal. These are seriously my new favorite embossing folders.  I just love that they are double sided and they emboss amazingly!


And let me ask you, are you a Pinterest fan/junkie??  I guess as might as well come out of the closet, as I sure am one...LOL  My good friend Kellie Fortin of JustRite Papercrafts is the reason, so it's all her fault that I can't stop looking at Pinterest every night and yes, I admit sometimes I spend a little time there in the morning and yes, mid day, too...LOL.  So, the reason I ask you is as this card's inspiration came from there.  I found this amazing site called Photocardboutique, where they have color inspiration pictures, so I have been a busy bee pinning lots of their pictures, as they are so inspiring, so this card's inspiration came from there.  Here is my inspiration:
Pretty cool, right?  Anyway, Michael loved the card, so I was happy and we are going out to dinner tonight actually to celebrate both our birthday's as mine is next week. Yep, our birthdays are within 6 days, can you believe?  And tomorrow I am having lunch with my sweet friends, so it should be a lot of fun.
