Authentique Joyous Mini Album

Is it Christmas time yet?????  Whether it is or not, I have an adorable Christmas mini album to share with you, well, at least it is to me...When I first got the Joyous Collection in my hands, I squealed in happiness seeing all the gorgeous patterns, fun die cuts, designs and than I found out that I get to work with a Maya Road mini album on top of that, I just knew I would have so much fun creating!!! So today I will show you detailed pictures of my pretty little album with pictures from years ago, which have been waiting patiently to be scrapped.

Anyway, let me show you my first tag.  So again, everything you see here is created by using the Joyous collection and the tag shaped mini album is by Maya Road.

I first covered the tag with my main paper, than I started die cutting some borders and layered them.  On this tag my focal point was the beautiful Santa Claus image and the first tag came with an oval opening, so it was perfect to show off Santa.  I also created a cluster with Maya Roads Kraft on White Snowflakes, and die cut a pretty Spellbinders Poinsettia and finally added some pretty sentiments from the Stamp Icon sheet and also from the "puzzle pieces" paper accents sheet.

There was also a heart shape that came with the mini album, which I covered with Ranger red Crackle Paint, which once it dried I added some black Gelato to it, to add some dimension and added a pretty Petaloo fabric flower to it with some Spellbinders Poinsettia leaves.  As a final touch I added a pretty sentiments with cute red buttons from the 12x12 "statements" accents sheet.

My next tag was the backside, so I kept it simpler.  I covered it with my main paper and this time my focal point was the gorgeous chalkboard inspired sentiment label from the 12x12 "statements" accent sheet.

Once again I created a little cluster using the Maya Road Kraft on White Snowflake as my backup and started adding elements to it.  I love the "intent" 12x12 paper, as it has all these cute rulers on it, which was perfect to create little fishtails with to add to my cluster, and also added a stamp diecut and sentiment from the "advent blocks"paper accents.

My next tag had a picture added to it again, so as usual I covered the tag with my main paper, added my picture and layered my border dies.

Next I created another little cluster with the Kraft on White Snowflake, a cute banner sentiment from the 12x12 "details" stickers sheet and popped on a cute Maya Road flower

On the bottom portion of my tag I added another little cluster using the snowflake and layering another sticker sentiment, which I layered onto red paper to pop it.  I also added a couple of little green pearls

The backside of this tag is again showcasing a pretty sentiment label from the 12x12 "statements" accent sheet, which I adore!

I added a cluster element both on the bottom and top of the sentiment label and some more rulers, as they are just perfect little touches.

My next tag has a picture on it again, so once I added all the cute border dies, I added another snowflake layered element using another banner sticker, ruler fishtails, sentiment sticker and a Maya Road fabric flower.

On the bottom portion of the label, I die cut a My Favorite Things doily and layered my stickers on top of that and added another die cut sentiment from the 12x12 "statements" accent sheet.

Next tag again is with a sentiment label, this time from the Titles and Phrases sheet, which I layered onto the "magical" 12x12 paper, which has these cute black christmas tree icons on it and adore this pattern.

Once again I added my little snowflake cluster, and a few more cute sentiment die cuts and more rulers.

My last tag has another photo on it, which I framed with the border die cuts and the little rulers.  You won't believe how far that one paper goes in decorating your projects.  I really love that sheet of paper, as you can see.

I added another Maya Road fabric flower and a Petaloo single layer white flower and leaf to go with it to finish it off nicely.  I also added some more die cut sentiments to it.

And finally I just had to use that big die cut hand from the 12x12 "statements" accent sheet.

And here is what the mini album looks like once I put it together with the metal ring and added all the pretty May Arts ribbons.  I especially love the big burlap trim.  It just added immediate Christmas to it, don't you think?

Well, I certainly hope you enjoyed this little write up about this mini and hope in inspires you to create something like this.  As you can see the Joyous Collection is perfect for it!!

Thanks for visiting!
