Authentique Be(you)tiful card set tutorial

Hi there, hope you are having a wonderful 4th of July weekend!  It was my first official post as an Authentique Design Team Member yesterday and just in case you didn't get to see it I post it here, too.  I am sharing how to create a card set and sure hope you enjoy what you see!

Today's featured collection is non other than our newest
BE(YOU)TIFUL COLLECTION
And it is beautiful indeed.

Here is the card set I created using these pretty papers and stickers.  My focus was on creating doily accents for the cards, so I will show you how I created my little doily clusters.

First I gathered all my papers, die cut all what I needed to die cut and this case I used My Favorite Things Die-namics.  I wanted to create a similar look and all I wanted to change is the papers on my cards to show unity in the set.

One of the tips I can give you is that I love to make everything dimensional, even the leaves, so once I die cut the flourish you see below, I used my Imaginisce Petal roller tool with the ball end and a mouse pad and I pressed down on the back of the leaves to make them more realistic looking.

Next I started building my doilies.  For this sample I used "Expressed" patterned paper and just adhered my flourish on top of it.

Next I started to add my stickers.  I just love these "details" stickers, as there are so many cute things you can add to a project with them.  One of them was a tag, so I added some May Arts string bow to it.  I adhered them with pop dots.

As a final touch I added sweet little Petaloo flowers from the Penny Lane collection.  I just thought it was a perfect touch.  Once finished with all my doilies, I just adhered them with pop dots to the front of my cards as the focal point.

Once all the cards were assembled I add Hello die cut words to it using the same grey card stock I use for my card base to tie it together.  Here is my first card.

Here is a close up shot of it.  You can see more details of it.

Here is my second card.

Again the close up shot of it.

And finally here is the third card.

And the close up of that.

Sure hope you like what you see and get inspired to create some "Be(you)tiful cards using the doily ideas.
