Dare to Dream!

Oh, how I love to work with canvas art!  And it's perfect for gifting, which is what I am doing with this little art.  My girlfriend's daughter is 14 years old and such a cute girlie, so I thought the message of this canvas is just perfect for her.  Sure hope she will like it.  So I am very excited to share with you this sweet canvas piece today, which is using Canvas Corp's 6x6 white canvas and their corrugated kraft card stock along with some pretty Petaloo Color Me Crazy flowers.  Here is what I came up with using Creative Imaginations Twinkling H2O's, which is a perfect product to use with both the Canvas Corp products and of course the Color Me Crazy flowers as well.

First I primed my canvas with White Gesso and waited till it dried.  Once it dried, I painted it with African Jade, Guatemalan Green and Olive Vine Twhinkling H2O's. Dried it with heat gun, and stamped it with Tim Holtz' Mixed Media stamps.  I drew and cut out two hearts out of the corrugated kraft card stock and gessoed them a little bit, to add more interest to them and painted one of them with Poppy and the other one with Solar Gold Twinkling H20's.  My pretty doily is by Lifestyle Crafts called Nesting Lace Doilies Die, which I cut out of black card stock.

And the fun part was the painting of the flowers, which again I used Twinkling H2O's for.

Once I painted and dried my flowers, I adhered the hearts to my painted canvas, and outlined them with black Neocolors.  To accent the hearts I adhered my pretty flowers and finally I added words to it from Marah Johnson's Creative Imaginations Monarch Happenings Chipboards.

And let me share with you the Petaloo Color Me Crazy flowers I  used on this canvas:
