Guest Blogging at the CLASSroom and a Giveaway!

Hi there, hope you had a great weekend!  I sure did!  Saturday was full of fun, time spent with friends, and Sunday was a major lazy day.  Somehow my body just didn't want to do anything....LOL.  It's a rare occasion, so I just let it happen.  We all need a relaxing day, right?

Well, today I have an exciting news to share about.  I got an email from Ellen Hutson last week asking if I would guest blog at the CLASSroom blog.  Talk about such an honor!!!! I mean, have you visited their blog?  If not, you are missing out, as it really is such an amazing resource for techniques and tips on how to make beautiful projects!  I know I have drooled over quite a lot of projects in that past.  So Ellen, thank you so much for asking me to do this!  Throughout the past few days I got to know Ellen a little bit with our emails and I can tell you this much, if you don't know her, you should, as she is a very sweet, kind, beautiful lady, and has her heart in our industry, and I just love that!  I feel so lucky that I got to know her and hope some day we will meet in person, too!  I really enjoy working together with people like her!  So, the day after she asked me I was so inspired to use some of my favorite products and some new that I bought recently, but haven't used just yet.  I had a lot of fun visiting Ellen's store while I was creating my project and I sure found a lot of crafty gems!

I created a little 6x6 canvas using Unity Stamps, Real Wood by Creative Imaginations, Clearly for Art modeling film, Glimmer Mist, Tim Holtz Sizzix die and embossing folder, May Arts ribbon and a few other products as well.  I LOVE creating cards and sometimes even layouts, but creating a home decoration, a canvas that I get to hang on my wall, or put on my mantel always excites me.  So here is a sneak peek of what I made. Make sure you head on over to the CLASSroom to see the whole project and some tips and techniques on how I played with the Real Wood and Clearly for Art modeling film.

And let me share with you about the giveaway.  I was actually so blown away, when I found out Ellen is so generously giving away many of the products I used on my project to one lucky person.

You have until midnight PDT (Pacific Daylight Savings Time) Wednesday, August 17, 2011 to leave a comment here on my blog. We will select the winner using a Random Number Generator from the entries and post the winner here on my blog as well as in the CLASSroom and on the Ellen Hutson LLC Facebook Fan Club page on Thursday morning.  So, if you haven't "liked" them yet on Facebook, now is the time!

Here is the picture of the AMAZING giveaway!!!!

Well, that is it for today!  Again, make sure you hop on over to the CLASSroom blog, if you would like to check out my pretty canvas and make sure you also check out the Ellen Hutson Store.  I know you will find lots of goodies you might have been looking for or not.  I know I sure have...LOL.

Thanks for visiting and have a FABULOUS day!

Hugs,

Eva- You read my mind! I have been (for quite some time now), wanting to make a collage on my living room wall of family canvas artwork. I just hadn't quite come up with how I wanted the canvases to look? You now have given me the inspiration I need to get the (large-I have 4 children + spouses and 5 grandchildren now) project going!

Thanks so much for sharing your technique and talents!
