Some Odd Girl and WINNERS!

Hi there, hope my post finds you all happy.  I sure have a happy and bright card to share with you!  I visited my local Scrapbook Store (Scrapbook Island) a couple of days ago and they had all the new Pink Paislee lines and while I did get a little bit of Pink Paislee a couple of weeks ago at the expo, I didn't pick up anything from the Soiree line, so I picked up a few sheets of it.  I love the bright colors of it, so much, I figured it would be fun to create with it.

So, around Christmas I purchased a few Some Odd Girl stamps, but sadly they have been just sitting in my folders and just haven't printed them out yet to play with.  But I thought these papers will be just perfect for this little girlie called Tiny Tia Bow.  So I looked at their blog and they have a fun challenge going on, which is Pleat Something, so I played and this is what I came up with.

Now, one thing I have to share is about how I created the yellow pleated ruffles.  Well at the same Expo I mentioned above I was shopping at a booth called Mon Ami and they had all kinds of pretty embellishments and among those, they have rolls of crepe paper as well.  So, the frugal in me decided to get the white one, since I really wanted to customize the colors I want with my Creative Imaginations Luminarte products, so that is what I did on this card.  I cut a strip of crepe paper and misted it with my Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist, and I just had to add a little Twinery Twine to it.  Hope you like my little card.  Make sure you check out their challenge!

So, remember Tuesday I announced that two people didn't claim their prizes from the Butterfly Blog Linky Party?  Well, they still haven't, so I pulled two more names and if you are the winner, PLEASE EMAIL ME at edobilas@gmail.com asap!

Oh my gosh, Eva! Your cards are out of this world gorgeous! My card is SO ridiculously out of place! If I had more time, it would have been better! So..... have another butterfly hop soon! ;)

What do I love about butterflies? They are just so elegant as they flit and float from flower to flower. And their beautiful wings awash with color! God does beautiful work!

My love of butterflies started before I was even born. My mom loved them and actually had a butterfly tattoo. She named me Vanessa which means butterfly in Greek (though I'm not Greek! LOL). I just think they're the most beautiful, delicate thing. I'm slightly infatuated with them... stamps, home decor, rain boots, purses, and oh so much more! hehe Your cards are beautiful, by the way! :)

Well, that is it for today, so hope to hear from you lucky ladies and those of you who are visiting...thank you so much!!!!

Hugs and have a FABULOUS day!
