Butterfly Blog Linky Party!!!!!

WELCOME
to the
BUTTERFLY Blog Linky Party!!!!

I am so glad you came to either participate and create some pretty Butterfly creations, or just to hop around and see the pretty Butterfly creations!  Either way, I am so very excited to have you and see how this hop turns out.

So, let me start by sharing my cards I made and yes I actually made two cards for this occasion.  When I thought of this idea, I thought it will be something little, just a few people, but boy, was I pleasantly surprised when I posted on Facebook and saw how many of you are interested in playing along.  I can't thank you enough, and it proves I am not the only Butterfly Lover out there.

Why do you love Butterflies???
For me butterflies are not just beautiful, but they also mean that intrinsic transformation we all go through as humans.  And we do it from the day we are born till we pass on.  Butterflies just do it in a much quicker manner, so we get to see the beauty of it. How lucky are WE to so so much beauty?

Being fortunate to love this crafty industry we get to see so many pretty products.... papers, stamps, stickers, you name it, they are out there.  There are so many beautiful quotes about Butterflies, too and they all speak of transformation.  Here is a favorite of mine by Maya Angelou, which you can find in the Inspired By Butterflies (My Favorite Things) stamp set

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly
but rarely admit the changes it has gone
through to achieve that beauty.

I could go on, but let's get to the cards.  My first one is made with Butterfly Beauty and the pretty Bella Doilies set by Unity Stamp Co.  I used this week's Mojo Monday 181 sketch and some very lovely Bo Bunny Gabriella papers.  I also used MFT's Mini Rolled Roses Layered Labels and Dizzie Doily Die-namics.  I clear embossed my doily stamp and butterfly on white card stock, and painted it with Creative Imaginations Twinkling H2O's. I so love how it resist the embossing, so the image just pops.  My sentiment was stamped on Creative Imaginations Real Wood cardstock, which is super FUN to work with.  Also, do you see the pretty leaves?  That is a Samantha Walker Silhouette die cut, which I cut out of white card stock, so I can paint it with my Twinkling H2O's to the color I want!

My second card is made with the above mentioned My Favorite Things Inspired By Butterflies and also with their adorable Butterflies Die-namics.  Also I used my sweet friends, Iwona's new sketch.  Love it, girlie, THANKS!!!  For this card I used Echo Park papers and the pretty label  my sentiment is stamped on was cut out with my Silhouette again with white card stock and painted in with Twinkling H2O's.  I also painted my big butterfly in with the Twinkling H2O's.  It's just soooo pretty and shimmery, just like butterflies are!

And here is the inside of my card, on which I used another MFT Die-namics, the Perfect Bracket Edge.

Hope you liked my cards and now let's get to the FUN part.  So, as you read on top, this idea started out just as a little hop, but I am so excited to tell you that there are

GIVEAWAYS TO WIN!!!
14 CHANCES,
14 LUCKY WINNERS!!!

So what can you win???  And how can you win?  I am offering my own little prize, which actually is a card kit of mine. It's actually a gorgeous full of Prima and Ippity goodies.  A while back I taught a class at my local scrapbook store (at the time) and I have one kit left from that.  In the kit you will find very detailed instructions on how to recreate my cards.  It was a sold out class, so I think anyone would enjoy this little kit. Everything is cut up, punched and stamped for you, ready to put together!

Before I continue, I just want to say THANK YOU Laura, Angela and Kim for your generosity as I know you will make some crafters really, really happy!!!!!  I really appreciate it!!!

Next up are 3 gorgeous stamp sets (2 winners for each) offered by STAMPENDOUS.  Thank you again Laura for contacting me and Taylor for letting Laura know about this event!

Here is the first set for two lucky winners.  Cling Jumbo Butterfly Pair

Next are two of these beauties:  Butterfly Beauties Perfectly Clear Stamps

Next again two of these gorgeous sets:  Butterflies Perfectly Clear Stamps

OK, so what do you think so far????

Next, Angela of UNITY STAMP CO offered these gorgeous butterfly sets, and one of them is actually my personal favorite and my first card was created with it.

And this one

And now, if you saw my Facebook about the giveaways, I mentioned they are to DIE for....LOL...well, I was hinting a little bit.  If you know me, you know I LOVE shapes, so I was so happy, when Kim at MY FAVORITE THINGS offered her gorgeous  Butterflies Die-namics dies to 5 winners, so ladies there will be 5 winners of these pretty butterflies!
So how can you WIN???
Just leave me a comment and tell  me why you like butterflies?  Easy, right?

YOU HAVE TILL MONDAY MIDNIGHT EST TO LEAVE A COMMENT!

I will announce the winners on Tuesday.  Please, Please I ask you to leave your email address as you comment, so I can contact you.  I am not asking you leave it in the comment, but there is an option as you leave a comment to leave your email address for ME only and not public.

And NOW, let me see those pretty creations....

START LINKING UP BELOW!!!!!

Happy Butterfly Linky Party to all of you and THANK YOU for coming out and play!!!!

Hugs and have a FABULOUS DAY!

Scrapacat said...

Love this hop!! Girl - you rock. But you know that.

What I love about butterflies is probably what no one else knows about them. They have a very short life-span as adults, but they cram it full of living. They are wicked fighters, crafty parents, and plain old weird in the bedroom. Amazing creatures that look quite alien up close.

Many cultures consider the butterfly a sacred harbinger of a loved one's soul. They always give me goosebumps when they light on me. Thanks again, Eva, for a bright day in our cloudy gloom. ♥ky

Hi Eva, thanks so much for this Blog Linky Party, so much fun!

I am totally fond of animals, not only butterflies ;-)
But what I like best about them is their fragility, that seeing them means it is getting warmer and greener outside. Love when they sit on ur hand. They are a bit like little angels, that is why I love them.

Have a lovely sunday :-)

Oh. My. World! Your creations are truly gorgeous. I am a first time visitor and my friend Tejal sent me here. She is as crazy about butterflies as you are!
Why do I like butterflies? Just look at the similarities here- we paper crafters take un-connected bits and pieces of stuff like paper, ribbon, buttons, glue etc and change them into truly beautiful creations- cards and scrapbooks! Kinda like a butterfly.
Among the many lessons that butterflies teach us, I like this one the best- CHANGE IS GOOD!
Thanks for doing this coz I get to see so many butterfly creations in one spot.

Made by Mandy said...

I had a nervous breakdown in 2005 and likened my journey to that of s butterfly. I went into a dark place and emerged a beautiful butterfly. I even had a butterfly party to celebrate.

Unfortunately due to the death of my mother I am in a dark place once more. I sought help and am currently undergoing a metamorphosis but I know the journey of change is worth it because I will emerge to be the most beautiful butterfly I can image, bright, colourful and vibrant. Flying light and free without the excess baggage I have been carrying for so long.

cgargus said...

Eva, how beautiful! I love what you do with paper and ink. You're cards are both wonderful, but so different! Thanks for the inspiration, and the chance to win such great prizes! Butterflies are a sign of spring, and new beginings. Bright, colorful, and free!

What an amazingly perfect theme. For the first 50 years of my life I was hidden away in a dark, quiet, seemingly safe cocoon. And then for some unknown reason, known only to the creator, my cocoon cracked and I emerged; full of color and freedom and light. Only a butterfly can understand that feeling.

Leah Crowe said...

I love butterflies plain and simple.... I think my flicker entries pale in comparison to some others creativity...... But we all have our own style.

The main reason I live butterflies is the comparison of their lifecycle to creative process....... They are not much to begin with... A caterpillar that huddles in a chrysalis till it becomes an amazing individual with such grace and beauty. ( this also applies to our female changes from child to amazing woman) I feel we start creativly with odds and ends of paper, ribbon, glue, glitter etc.... And turn them with the help of time into an amazing creation that can't be compared to anything else! Our own work like a butterfly!!

Thanks! Have a wonderful week

Wow, your cards are just gorgeous! Loving the deep rich colors and all that texture!
As for why I love butterflies, it is probably because they are so beautiful and yet I know that they last for only a short time. We can enjoy them for the moment...but cannot hang onto their beauty forever.

What an AMAZING idea EVA!!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE butterflies....always have!!! Ever since I was a kid and had caterpillars in a jar, I've been fascinated by their transformation and beauty. Your cards are GORGEOUS...and I also love all of the wonderful quotes about butterflies!!!!

I just started checking out some of my favorite blogs after 9 months of no crafting and I am so glad I found these inspirational creations!!!. I went through a really bad time financially. PLEASE know I tell you this NOT for a "better" chance of winning....BUT to say THANK YOU for this amazing place for me to come and get inspired again. It is absolutuely exactly what I needed to find today WOW!!!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Your cards are simply gorgeous and love the idea of the butterfly blog party.
Anytime I see a butterfly it makes me smile ... it definitely is a reminder to me of change or to make changes when the opportunity arises. Like the caterpillar ... we are all small and appear to be the same ... as we grow older our true beauty shows. Like butterflies we are all different and beautiful in our own way.

I've just come across your blog - your cards are amazing and inspiring and i need all the inspiration I can get these days.

I love using butterflies on my cards - they always add that special touch. I only realized how few butterflies I see in real life - saw my first for ages just yesterday. When younger it was always a thrill when ever you saw a butterfly - still the same thrill now but back them I saw them more often. I guess the urban spread has lot to do with the lack of butterfly sightings these days.

Pure and simple - butterflies always make me smile whether real or stamped or punched.

I have loved butterflies since I was a very small child. We would stand very still and hundreds of Monarchs would be flying around us! It was for such a short, special time of the year that we anticipated it every Spring! It is oneof the things I truly miss seeing since I moved to Arizona. There are very few butterflies here.

Diane said...

I love the beautiful transformation they make. It has always amazed me how the caterpillar (cute and fuzzy) can change into a graceful and colorful creature.

Angélique said...

Hi there! First of all.... thanks so much for this fun hop!
Your cards are just awesome!!

For me butterflies stand for the beauty you might not see at first sight (the caterpillar), but later when that caterpillar turns into a beautifull butterfly. Same as with people. Some people don't see the inner beauty of a person, they only see the outside, but when they wait... there's a beautifull person :)

I just love butterflies. Have some plants overhere which they like and I just love having butterflies overhere at my balcony during Spring/Summer.

Thanks again for this fun hop!

I have always loved butterflies but more so after my Mom passed away. I asked her to send me a butterfly on evening. The next morning there was one on my porch. It let me get to within a 1/2 in of it. So now when I see a butterfly, I think of my mom.

Butterfly animal totem symbolizim is change, enjoy life, death different in cultures but for me when I think of butterflies for transformation I think of this saying. We have it hanging over our desk at home with a butterfly emerging from it's cocoon...
Change
Change is the essence of Life.
Be willing to surrender what you are, for what you could become.

Yesterday I was had lunch with a friend who has been going through a difficult time. I gave her a butterfly charm for her bracelet and she said that it was perfect ... since she too is going through a metamorphosis and becoming a much better person for it. I love butterflies for their beauty, awe, and wonder, but I especially love them because of the inspiration they give to others.

Patricia said...

I like butterflies because they teach a person so much about life. A lot of people are scared of wiggle, creepy caterpillars...but hardly no one is scared of a butterfly...even though they are the same, just different forms of each other. Too many times people are judged on how they look...when they just might be a butterfly in disguise!

Isha said...

Gorgeous creations.....both the cards. Love them. Got to know about it quite late so couldnt make a Butterfly card specially for the hop....wish I had time today. I love butterflies too and have so many cards with them. I love butterfly cos they are delicate, full of energy and colors. Also I feel the way they keep fluttering to all the flowers...its like us making new friends...so lively. Thanks for giving a chance to win.

Love butterflies! They hold a special significance for me... I was going through a really tough time and chose to go to a therapist. He told me that it was time to come out of my cocoon, and that image has stuck with me through the years. Since then, I have been partial to butterfly images.

When ever I see a butterfly, I instantly think of my grandmother. At her funeral, after most people had left to go to the wake, my cousins and I were sitting quietly by her graveside. It was such a hot day but while we were sitting there this lovely breeze came through and about a dozen butteflies starting dancing around her flowers. It was the most peaceful experience of my life.

Thanks for the chance to win your buttefly giveaways.

I love butterflies for their vibrant colors and the sheer beauty of their wings. From a tiny moth, it becomes this exotic beautiful winged creature which fascinates everyone whoever sees it. May it be a little kid or a little kitty for that matter. Butterflies are mysterious and very attractive.
