I have a quick post today for you. Something I made yesterday. Do you have a mechanic, like we do, who has been visited by us a LOT this year???? Seriously, we saw him sometime every other week. We have a 21 year old car that Michael considers his baby and he is having a hard time letting go. Is your hubby attached to his car, like mine??? LOL...anyway, any car that is 21 years old (and note here that it's the same age as my son...LOL), will have issues, such as the whole car will need to be replaced eventually...hehehe...so we have been frequenting our mechanic, who is also Michael's dear friend. Come to think of it, all the money we spent at his shop just this past 6 months...... he should be buying us a gift...don't you agree??? LOL
So, what do you give to a mechanic for Christmas, who is also a friend? Easy, get him a HUMONGOID size Grey Goose vodka from Costco and add a handmade tag to it and viola!!!! You have a nice gift. So, here is what I came up with....mind you, the said Vodka stayed in the car, so I am modeling my tag with a bottle of wine we have been nursing all week...not big drinkers here..LOL...
So, to make this tag, I hand cut a tag out a cream color cardstock and I used October Afternoon's Good Cheer line, which I just picked up through Scrapace (Scrap-Mart's daily deal site)....so love this line....and the stamp is Samantha Walker's Unity stamps called Greetings of Christmas...a set I really love. The label was cut with My Favorite Things die called Polka Dot Greetings and die set (love this so much!!!). Ok, looks like I love a lot of things on this tag....hehehe...that's a good thing!
Now making this took me like 20 minutes and look how festive and fun it looks!!! Do you have a gift that needs a pretty tag??? Hope this inspires you...and I will have another one coming up soon as well, that one is pretty, too...wait till you see...
