H[ippity} Hop with GCD

Hello ladies, hope you had a wonderful National Scrapbooking weekend!  So, what did you do??  Did you go to any crops, or get together with some friends, or do some shopping???  I sure had a great day, as I went to a Scrapbook Expo with my friend Karen, and we sure had a great time, but we also pooped out from all the walking and having fun...LOL.

And before I show you my card today, did you see my brand spanking new SWEET blog header?????  Can you say CAUUUTE?????  I sure can!!!  And I bet you love it, too as much as I do.  Ok, so I will tell you who made this gorgeous banner and look below to see the adorable signature line as well...OMG!!!  I am so in love with them!!!  You know that VERY talented Unity artist we ALL LOVE???  That girlie named Heather Rolin??  Well, guess what??  She is opening up a BLOG COUTURE SHOP, so if you adore her work as much as I do and want to have your blog look FABULOUS, go ahead and send her a note via her blog HERE.  She is very very reasonable and you get her amazing art work on your blog...don't you love that????  No other place will offer what she offering, such as a sought after artist letting you have a piece of her artwork on your blog.  Hurry up and order, before you have to get on a wait list!

OK, so now onto my card.  Today our DT is challenging you to use stitching, whether it is hand or machine stitching.  Well, I wanted to use both, so here is what I came up with.

I still am in love with that gorgeous Ippity sentiment and it was just calling for hand stitching, so I did.  Now a little background on this card.  While Karen and I were shopping at the Expo, we ran into the very talented Heidi Sonboul of GCD and she was demoing the amazing Melody Ross chipboard art products, so we just had to sit down and play, and play we did...LOL.  I think this is the coolest thing ever, and while it didn't come home with me, it did go home with Karen, so hopefully I will get to play with it a little more in the future, too and I know it will probably end up in my tool chest somehow...LOL...well, not hers, but my own.  Anyway, it is so fun, and I just knew I had to make a card with it and since I purchased a little taste of Melody Ross' papers, this card came together pretty easy.
