Friends with FLAIR

It's Friday...Yippeee....so it's Friends with FLAIR day at Unity. I created a layout using Scrap-Mart's blog sketch that is on their blog today, so I thought I would share it on my blog, after all it's all about Unity!!!

This layout is of my lovely Michael and his friend Glenn, well, he is my friend, too, so this is perfect for today's post, as it's about friends. I took this picture in May, when he was in OC for just an afternoon, and we got to spend lunch and an afternoon with him. We went to a pretty park in Irvine, it's my favorite place around here, I used to walk around the lake there daily, when I lived there. I so miss it. Anyway, we were having so much fun and I captured a few really awesome shots of them having pure joyful moments. I hope you can see that in the picture as well. Glenn, we miss you, when are you coming to visit again???

Anyway, here is my layout.

Supplies used to make this layout:

Cardstock: Stampin Up
Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee
Stamps: Unity
Ink: Memories and Ranger Distress ink
Flowers: Prima
Pearls: Kaisercraft
Labels: Maya Road
Punches: EK Success, Martha Stewart
Alpha's: Thickers

OK, so I have a question for you ladies. Do any of you have the EK Success big scallop looking punch I used on this layout? If so, are you having problems with it??? I am on my second one and this one is getting stuck all the time, too. I was ready to throw it out on the window as it got stuck at every scallop I punched and it took forever to get it unstuck...am I the only one who is having problems, or anyone else??? Please let me know, will you????? Thanks so much!

Have a fabulous Friday! Oh, and make sure you check out the {ippity} blog today. I know Kelly put on some gorgeousness you don't want to miss!

Hugs,
Eva

Beautiful layout and yes I am having that same problem with my punch I thought I was the only one. Mine only will work on cardstock and not DP Bummer and I really do not want to buy another one.

first off, your page is wonderful!!!! and YES, I have this punch and the same things has happend 4 times. I think I almost broke it once trying to get it unstuck, not to mention I bent the end of a pair of scissors. I think it gets stuck by not making a clean cut, then when I shift it, paper is trapped and that's what's making it stick. I make sure each time I move the strip over that no paper is stuck in there. It's a pain and in my oppinion definitely a manufacturing problem. I don't think there is anything I can do since I don't have the packaging or receipt (mine was a gift). email me if you need to.

Gorgeous! Yeah, my punch kinda does the same thing. Like Lisa said, I just check it every punch to make sure there's no scraps left in it. A pain, I know.

This is a gorgeous layout Eva... I love all the sentiments over it and the colours totally rock!! Xx

- I don't know if it will help, but when my punches get stuck I usually put some wax paper through it and it sort of helps to "grease" the punch...

You should check with the manufacturer about the poorly working punch. They should replace it!
