Scor-it and Prima project

Well, remember I told you yesterday that today I will WOW you with a pretty project? I know it's late already, but it is still today here in the West Coast....hehehe...

Today I am going to share a project with you that uses my favorite scoring tool, the Scor-it and some gorgeous Prima Paintables. And the way this started was by having some cheese....hmmmm...you are probably wondering what has cheese got to do with scrapbooking? Well, today it has everything to do with it, as I choose to make it into my scrapbooking..well, the packaging that is, I don't mean it as a snack!

Ready to see what I made???? Well, here it is..(click on the picture if you would like to see it the details)

Isn't it just gorgeous???? Ok, so I will share with you how I made it kind of step by step, at least the construction of it. This how I started. I took my cheese box and traced the circles onto my Prima paper.

Once I did that, I cut the circles out and also two strips for the sides of the box.

Than I glued the Prima papers to the outside of the cheese box using Beacon Zip Dry liquid glue. And I went into town and painted some of the Prima Paintables with Ranger Distress Inks using a water brush pen, the ones that have the water tank. I really love using that with ink pads..it's awesome to work with. Sakura makes a good one. I have a few of them and had them for years!

Once I painted the box, I cut 3 strips of papers from another pretty Prima paper just a little skinnier then the side of the box and glued them together to be one continuous strip. I used Scor-it to make score lines at every 1/2" then 1/4" as shown on the picture.

I also cut another 2" wide strip of paper and scored that every 1/4" to create a flower.

Than I started glueing the the scored/folded paper strip to the sides and used office clip to hold it, till it dried, as you can see. Pretty good tool for that.

I glued my scored/folded flower on top of the box, added some more Prima flowers and pretty Prima crystal swirls and as a final touch, I added a sequen strip to the side, which you can see here.

And again, here is my final project....and I have to say I love the way it turned out, so I am WOW'd....are you?

So, tell me, do you have Scor-it? Do you love it as much as I do? Have you made any pretty projects with it? And how about these Prima Paintables? Have you got to play with them yet? I love them! I just finished a layout with one, but can't share that for a while. I really love to paint them. I have used inks to paint them and also made another layout with them in the past painting it with Twinkling H2O, which are sooo pretty. Too bad they are not making those anymore, but I am sure there are similar products out there. Anyway, hope you liked this little tutorial. I had fun making it!!! So, are you WOW'd??? Hope so....

Have a lovely evening!
Hugs,
Eva
