"A girlie day" layout to share

A few of my friends and I got together yesterday for lunch and we were going to scrap shop hop, but instead we had a 4 hour lunch with such a wonderful heart to heart conversation. We made it to one shop only, which is my favorite LSS, Scrapbook Oasis, and that is where this picture was taken. I tell you, I love my friends!!! I am so blessed to have them in my life and I have to say this is my first layout with them, don't know why, but it is. I have a few more pictures we took, or actually Ching took them all, so those will be scrapped as well.

A few weeks ago when we scrapped together last, I picked up a few sheets of the new Collage Press papers, and that is what I used on Friday's layout. Today I used the girlie version papers for this layout. I am so glad I almost used up all I bought...it's such a satisfaction that it's not just sitting with my other lovely papers waiting to be scrapped..hehehe...do you do that??? I hoard papers...so bad, but I still love them after all these years....well, most them anyway.

This layout was made for two challenges...one is Aymee's challenge and Treasured Scrapbooking, which was to use blue and circles and the other one is Twiddleybitz challenge to use fabric, sewing and of course some yummy Twiddleybitz. Well, I used tulle, hope that does qualify as fabric...hmm...does it? I hope so, but if not, that's ok, I still love the way this layout turned out, whether it fits the challenge, or not... Anyway, here it is...

You can click on the pictures to make them larger, if you would like to see details.

Items used to make this layout:

Cardstock: Coredinations (I really love their shades!)
Patterned paper: Collage press and Scenic Route (my circle)
Stamps: Unity stamps
Ink: Memories, Colorbox and Ranger Distress
Twiddleybitz ( I inked them up with white ink and added some diamond Stickles on top of it)
Thickers ( I love this one!!)
Tulle (crossing fingers that it counts as fabric...hehehe)
Prima flowers
Silhoutte (leaf, love this one!!)
Ribbon: KI memories ( this one is sooooo old, but I just found it and love it again..hehehe
Bling: Glitz
Gel embellishment in middle of my flower is KI Memories

Well, that would be all for today. Hope you had a lovely weekend and have an even more fabulous week!

Hugs,
Eva
