My Secret - I am a Dreamgirl!!!

Finally I get to share about this wonderful secret of mine. Last week I got an e-mail from Debbie from the Dreamgirls challenge blog asking me if I would like to join the design team. I have been following their challenges, as I do love scrapping and making cards, but lately I have only had time for cards, so I haven't been able to participate in their challenges, even though I love them. Well, apparently they wanted to add a card maker into the mix, so everyone can get inspired by their challenges and they thought of me...whoohoo. So now I am officially one of the Dreamgirls Diva and I am so excited about it! I mean look at this blinkie!!! I want to be part of the team just to have that blinkie...love it!!
We post challenges twice a month and WOW, the challenge winners get the most generous prizes, so it's so worth it to participate, so please come check us out! The designers are all so talented and what I love about them is that they are all so different in styles, that everyone can fall in love with at least one of the inspirations.
So, the new challenge was a real interesting challenge for me, which I have never done in the past, but sure was intrigued by it. I had to create a card by using this ad as the inspiration, add a safety pin somewhere and also something not found in the scrappy isles of a store.
Pretty awesome, isn't it? WOW, this took me in all kinds of directions, and what I came up with was a stamped card. So here is my take on the ad, let me know what you think of it. Does it look like I was inspired by the ad? I sure hope so...hehehe
Supplies used for this card (a lot...hehehe):
Cardstock: Bazzill and The Paper Company
Cuttlebug Embossing folder: Textile
Stamps: Impression Obsession and Uptown Design Company
Ink: Stampin Up, Ranger Ink and Colorbox
Alpha stickers: Foof-a-bets by Foofala
Silk Ribbon, don't know who makes it, bought it years ago, but isn't it gorgeous?
Bling button from my stash

To paint the images, I used my watercolor brush, the kind that has the watertank attached to it. I love it, as the water is in it and don't have to wet it. I used the SU inkpads to pick up the colors from to paint with and then sponged the edges with the same inks. I love the way it turned out and sure hope you do, too. I am really trying to get back into stamping, so from time to time I will be posting some cards and such with stamped items on it. In fact the next two weeks I will be sharing a few cards with stamped images.

Well, if you haven't yet, please check out the very inspirational Dreamgirls blog, and come play along with us, you will love it I just know it.

Thanks for letting me share my excitement with you and have a fabulous Sunday!!!
Hugs,
Eva
