My 2Sketches4You card for this week
Some of you may remember that last week I won Christine's gorgeous RAK gift on her blog. And myyy.....is it ever gorgeous and can you believe it arrived Tuesday? I was showing it piece by piece to Michael, all the goodies she packed in there. She even glimmer misted some of the flowers for me, isn't she sweet? And guess what else was in her package for me? One of her gorgeous card creations!!!! I was so excited to have an original of her work in my own hand. She just does such an amazing work! So this week, I knew I was going to make the card with her goodies, well mostly.
Earlier this week I went to Michaels and picked up this beautiful stamp by Hero Arts, as it reminded me of a stamp that Stampin Up came out with and I really would have loved their set, however this stamp is just perfect and with my 50% off it came to $5.00. I love a great deal!!! Don't you? And I also picked up those little Mini Misters and mixed up my own batch of Glimmer mist with my Perfect Pearls, and I started playing with my flowers, so for this week's card I have them all misted and they are so pretty in person, I wish you could see them through the picture. Also once I stamped my image, I added the Diamond Stickles Christine sent me and I tell you, it totally brought the image alive...again, can't really see it through the picture. And I had to use my Martha butterfly, as part of the stamp has a butterfly on it, but I choose this one instead and that one is outlined with Stickles as well. I have to say I really love the way this card turned out. And I think I will be staring at it for days, although it will be sent off to someone very special, I will just have to create another one for me to keep, or who knows, I know some people who's Birthday's are coming up.
Kazan and Laura, thank you for your wonderful blog and your very talented design team, you really brought my card making personality out, as I just love creating cards with your gorgeous sketches, so keep them coming. And Christine, if you are reading this, THANK YOU again, I love every bit of it and I know I will be creating so many more things with your gift. Hope you like my card.
