A Lovely Day in Paradise

Last year Michael and I went down to La Jolla, as it is my favorite place to spend a day. We had some business down there, but once done, we walked by the beach and just had a fabulous time watching people, and looking out on the beach. I think I could just live there, if I could...hehehe. I just love to walk up and down on the cute streets to check out the cute shops, and not to mention all the great restaurants. Jackie and I spent a beautiful day down there a couple of years ago, and we walked every where.

Anyway, about my layout. I used my Urban Anthology kit for this layout, and from there I used the Tinkering Ink and the Pink Paislee gorgeous papers. I also added a hint of Making Memories, those are the scallopped edges. I cut the flowers out of my TI paper and stiched around them with black to and also added some cute red bling kind of a stuff from the kit to pop them even more. I found the ribbon actually at Michael's and I thought it just matched the TI papers prefect, don't ya think? I also had these pretty K&Co. shaped tags, but they were craft color, which didn't really go with the colors of my layout in my opinion, so I got to play with my Twinkling H2O paints and painted it to match my colors and also dotted the edge with my silver leafing pen that I just found in my stash. Gotta love years of collecting stuff and than discovering all the goodies you have, once you can settle down and play....hehehehe. I know I must not be the only one in these shoes. For my title I used the Alphabet stickers by Pink Paislee, which I LOVE!!! And also a little journaling was done with EK Success Bookworks alphabet on the edge of our photo. So here is my layout and some details of it. Hope you like it, as much as I do. Oh, and by the way I am 20 lbs lighter since that picture. I will be talking about that next week!!! Stay tuned, it is a great story for those who struggle losing weight, as I have been. Tomorrow I get to scrap with my friends, and I am so looking forward to that, as I plan on making at least one more layout and a card at least. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and everyone have a wonderful weekend!
